Trying to get rich.....

I'm searching for an idea for an online business. I know enough people who could help out with the website but finding the idea is the problem! Let me know if you have any wonderful ideas that will make me rich!
I'm still working on my 'bring Christmas to Korea' idea that will make me lots of money in December.
It's raining outside and it's starting to get humid, making my morning runs three times as hard. Add to that the rising river level and I think I may not have a place to run soon!
My new addiction is the Discovery Channel. It has some great programs on it, and they are all in English.

An American comes to stay

On Thursday, Amanda came to stay. I worked with her in Florida and stayed with her family for Christmas 2004.
I picked her up at the airport on Thursday and she met Hyun Young briefly (who turned into the shyest girl ever!). She stayed at home whilst I finished my work and then we went for galbi with Meagan and Tisha from work.
On Friday, I let her loose in Seoul on her own and she got a lots of stuff done. We met Hyun Young for dinner.
On Saturday, it was my turn to be tour guide. I took her to Insadong and Namdaemun and then we did a walking tour which involved hiking up a mountain for some Buddhist temple that we never found. We were shattered after that and went to a jimjilbang to relax after.

On Sunday she went to the DMZ and we met in the afternoon for some more food. We had to get up early to put her on the bus this morning. She took Hyun Young some ginger cookies that I had baked yesterday.
Now I miss her already!

Sitting at the dinner table was the general theme of this trip!

Walking lots was also on the agenda. Note, our matching outfits!!

I must be at least half Korean by now.....

This morning I went up to Gangam Driving Licence Center to get my Korean license. All I had to do was pay $11, fill in some forms and hand over my UK licence. I had to do a physical exam, which consisted of a short eye test. I was a little worried about my right eye as it isn't so good, so as soon as I walked into the room, I memorised the numbers and quickly read them by memory!
An hour later I walk out with a shiny new licence, yay!

Today I've been mostly eating.....dogmeat!

So this morning, Kevin and I were doing our Sunday coaching for the youth team when I got invited to lunch. This particular lunch was to see us feasting on mans best friend! It tasted like pork and was a bit fatty, but was very nice. It was a little funny that one woman brought along her pet dog to sit with her whilst she ate her meal. Apparently dogmeat is very good for stamina, whatever that means!!!

August vacation will be spent on Jeju-do, the tropical island off the south coast of Korea. It's basically a big volcano sticking out of the sea! We want to rent a car, so I'm hoping to get my Korean driving licence sometime within the next two weeks.

Happy Kiss Day!!!

Thursday was Kiss day in Korea. The 14th of every month is a 'couple' day with something special such as Kiss day, Rose day, Valentines day, etc.
We're trying to find somewhere to go on summer vacation. At the moment it's looking like either Beijing or Jeju-do, off the coast of Korea.
Tonight is the last football game of our spring season. In an attempt to not lose, it's going to be a 5-5 formation!!

The 200,000 won dinner

Last week we went to Jongno tower in Seoul for a fancy dinner. The restaurant is at the top of a 35 floor building and has views over much of Seoul. It is owned by one of the only 5 star hotels in Seoul.
I managed to get the best table with some help from one of the Koreans at work! We had a view of the President's house and the sun set as we were eating our truffles/crab cakes/soup/steak/mouse. The food and the service were great, but then they had better be for $200!!
This weekend is going to be hot, with temperatures at about 31 degrees.

Mike has gone, nooooooo!!

So last night Mike stayed at mine as he had to leave his apartment because the new teachers are coming in. He left this morning to go back to Canada, meaning I have no galbi buddy!
Last Sunday we had football and I actually managed to play a whole game for once, although I'm injured again now! James almost saw a red card for abusive language towards the referee. But when a referee is so bad, what else is there to do?!! I also managed to miss a penalty. It was scorching hot and we played in our training bibs for some extra air. Before that, Kevin and I spent three hours coaching and playing with a group of children that he had rounded up.

So which of you are the next Park Ji Sung?No wonder he saved it, he was off his line!!!

Escaping without conceeding a penalty
