Spam, spam and more spam

It seems that the greatest contribution that the US has given to South Korea is Spam.
It is everywhere, tins of it, burgers, sandwiches. It even comes in a gift pack wrapped with various limited edition items!
Apparently it got here because after the Korean war there was a huge food shortage so the Americans gave the local population their military rations, which contained spam.
I will resist the spam. I must resist the spam.
